OKLAHOMA CITY — An accident involving two semi trucks has closed the Northbound lanes of I-35 at Hefner Rd. Both semi trucks are overturned near I-35 and NE 122nd. One semi driver has been killed in this accident, the other has been taken to the hospital in good condition.

Their identities have not been released.

HazMat has been called to the scene.

Trooper Betsy Randolph said one semi was coming onto to the highway and somehow lost control.

The other semi, traveling Northbound, tried to avoid the semi but could not and they collided.

One other vehicle was also involved in the accident.

She was also traveling Northbound and debris from the collision hit her car.

She was unharmed and her car has only minor damage.

Trooper Randolph asks other drivers to be patient with the traffic and avoid the area if at all possible.
